Musicians and Relationships

I have seen a lot of musicians in bands over the years. The ones that I enjoy the  most have a great relationship. band-1595310_640 To explain  what I mean I will talk about 2 bands  that when performing  you can tell they have a great relationship.

The Big Talkers

This is one of my favorite  blues bands. This group has been together for a lot of  years. The relationship they

have between the members is so evident  that it pours on to the audience.  When  watching them they talk with each other and try to get the audience to engage with them. As you watch them you can see that just by a look to one another  they know  what the other is wanting to do. This is what I mean about a relationship. The true entertainment  bands (musicians ) have this musical  relationship. So if you ever have the chance  to see them please  do so  they will entertain you.

The Dylan Doyle Band

I was invited to a birthday party for the owner of a local drinking establishment. When I arrived I found out the09bec3_ac819cf489784ee2865206368aa12169 band playing  there is from the east coast of the USA.  The guitar  player who also does vocals is a real gem. His licks are very unique.  But the relationship  between the  bass player and drummer is what caught my attention. These 2 men were having so much fun I just couldn’t  stop watching  them. It was like they were having  there own competition  on who could surprise the other with what they would play next. I highly recommend seeing this band.  Was a shockingly  great  performance that I truly enjoyed.

Relationship’s

So as you can see I am not talking about the relationship between  a musician and there lover. I am talking about the relationship  between  musicians  when they practice  and perform together. The  truly unique  performance ‘s are the one where there is a great relationship between the  band members. So I would like to have comments  and hopefully a conversation  over this topic.Have a great day all !!!

  1. Hello, I enjoyed the read at your site. I have been to many a concert in bars but have never taught about relationship between members. My intention is to go to my next concert, enjoy myself and look to see if i can gauge the relationship between memberes. Can you tell me how are able to recognize this emotion. I am sure most peopple would never have noticed. Are you a musician yourself?

    1. Unfortunately I am not a musician but I was raised in a house of musicians. Have run sound and now trying to learn about video recording. Now as far as how to recognize these emotions it is pretty easy when you watch each member you can see them laugh at one another. They also will give looks as changes in the song come up. The bass player and drummer I was speaking of was staring at each other and as they played they would do little changes in the song to make it there own style grinning and smiling at each other the whole time. When you see it you will know it makes me feel like I was part of it. Please let me know if you spot this the next time you go. Thank you and have a great day!
